Chin implants are made of a safe material that come in a range of sizes and shapes to fit a person’s facial structure and needs. The implant is made of synthetic material that feels much like natural tissue normally found in the chin
Dr. Rawnsley will gently stretch this tissue, while creating a space where an implant can be inserted. This allows custom fitting of the implant to the structures of the patient’s face. A cut is made, either inside the mouth or outside under the chin, where a pocket is created in front of the chin bone and under the muscles. The implant is then placed inside. Surgical implants can alter the underlying structure of the face, providing better balance to the facial features.
