Lip Augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that can give you fuller, plumper looking lips. There are many ways to achieve more volume and fullness to the lips:
An Injectable Dermal Filler is the most commonly used method of lip enhancement. This is done by using products that contain a substance similar to hyaluronic acid, called hyaluronic acid, or HA fillers. Though this is an excellent way to visibly enhance the volume and shape of the lips, its effects typically only last around six months. After that more injections are needed to keep the volume of your lips.
A Lip Flip is a nonsurgical procedure that makes your lips appear fuller. How it works is Dr. Rawnsley will inject botulinum toxin (Botox) into the corners of your mouth and the edges of your lips. The botulinum toxin relaxes the muscles around your upper lip, which makes your lip “flip” upward, and appear larger than normal.
A Lip Implant, is a more permanent solution to achieving fuller looking lips. It is an alternative to temporary lip fillers or a lip flip. A lip implant offers a longer-lasting result to the lips by increasing lip fullness through enlargement. Lip implants are a type of permanent lip augmentation that uses plastic implants (silicone or expanded polytetrafluoroethylene), or tissue/fat grafting of the lip.
