This young ballerina had suffered severe nasal trauma. As a result her nose had a “beaky” quality to it and which she felt looked out of place particularly combined with an under-defined chin. She came to Dr. Rawnsley’s Los Angeles plastic surgery office because of his deep experience in rhinoplasty procedures.
She and the doctor met and discussed her situation. In addition to the hump, Dr. Rawnsley discovered that her nasal tip was severely deviated. He explained this to her and offered her possible approaches to address her nose and chin.
An open rhinoplasty procedure was conducted in which Dr. Rawnsley aligned the bridge and de-projected and straightened the patient’s nose. He also placed a chin implant.
The results are dramatic and are a qualitative improvement for this young dancer.
